But I held my tongue, put aside the rivalry for the sake of friendship and creativity, and came up with this…

Recently, I was commissioned to do an illustration for a D.C. area restaurant magazine. They wanted me to depict the Republican Elephant and Democratic Donkey having a pleasant business dinner at a fine dining restaurant. Here’s the final illustration that was used:

And below is the preliminary rough illustration I did, which was never used…

The client thought they looked too drunk…Go figure. Cheers!!!
