About Me

Let’s see, I like long walks on the beach, and…

I’ve been a freelance illustrator in Chicago, IL since about January 2014. I left a career and banking and haven’t looked back! Whether it’s creating storyboards for a feature film or a poster for a local musician, I love working with clients to bring their ideas to life in a personally stylized and visually stimulating way.

Not located in Chicago and need some artwork? No problem! Thanks to this fantastic thing called the Internet, I have no problem working remotely and will do everything I can to make it as smooth as possible.

The techy stuff:  These days, I unfortunately don’t do too much traditional pencil and paper artwork unless it’s requested or for private commissions and gifts. Instead, for the sake of efficiency, I’ve been using a portable drawing tablet called the Cintiq Companion 1 by Wacom. I create my artwork using a combination of Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop CC. I also have working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

Anything else you want to know? Favorite foods? What books am I reading? White Sox or Cubs? Please don’t hesitate to ask!

I could not possibly do what I do (and survive) without my amazing clients and the awesome opportunities they’ve provided! I am truly grateful for those listed below…

“In addition to being a superb illustrator, Adam listens carefully to what you need, anticipates solutions and offers great suggestions for the drawing, making sure you are 100% satisfied. He took my concept to a much higher level than I expected and I couldn’t have asked for a better job. Highly recommended.”
